These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Veras website and your purchase of any products from Veras. Effective Date: July 2026.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Purchaser," "you") and Veras ("Veras," "we," "us"). We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page; the version in effect at the time you place an order governs that order. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
This website and our products are available only to individuals who are at least 21 years of age and who are affiliated with a laboratory, academic institution, or research organization. By placing an order, you affirm under penalty of perjury that you meet both requirements; that you are qualified, and possess the training, certifications, or institutional oversight necessary, to safely receive, store, handle, and dispose of research-grade compounds; and that, if purchasing on behalf of an organization, you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. We reserve the right to request verification of your age, research affiliation, or qualifications at any time and to cancel any order or terminate any account where verification is not provided or where we have reason to believe these requirements are not met.
All products sold by Veras are strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical purposes. Products are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration; are not intended for human or animal consumption, ingestion, injection, inhalation, or topical application of any kind; are not for therapeutic, diagnostic, clinical, or medical use; and may not be compounded, repackaged, relabeled, or resold as drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices. You agree not to use any product in violation of these restrictions and acknowledge that Veras provides no dosing, reconstitution, or administration information under any circumstances.
All orders are offers to purchase and are subject to acceptance by Veras. Payment is collected asynchronously: after you submit an order, you will receive payment instructions for the accepted methods (PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle). Your order is not confirmed and will not be processed for fulfillment until payment is received in full. Orders that remain unpaid after the period stated in your payment instructions may be canceled without notice. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars, exclude applicable taxes and shipping unless otherwise stated, and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, limit quantities, and refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including orders we suspect are intended for non-research use.
Veras ships only to valid addresses within the United States; international orders are not accepted, and any attempt to circumvent this restriction (including through freight forwarders or re-shippers) may result in order cancellation and account termination. Products are shipped in tamper-evident, RUO-labeled packaging to the address you provide. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery of the shipment to the carrier. Estimated shipping times are provided for convenience only and are not guaranteed. You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address and for complying with any laws applicable to the receipt of research materials in your jurisdiction; we are not liable for packages lost or misdelivered due to incorrect information provided at checkout.
Due to the nature of research-grade compounds and the impossibility of verifying storage and handling conditions after delivery, all sales are final. We do not accept returns and do not issue refunds, except as required by law. If a shipment arrives damaged, or you receive an incorrect item, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the item and packaging; verified claims will be resolved with a replacement of the affected item at no charge. Replacements are the sole and exclusive remedy for damaged or incorrect shipments.
Certificates of Analysis (COAs) documenting identity and purity testing are made available for reference. COAs describe the tested batch as of the test date and do not constitute a warranty of fitness for any particular research application. Product descriptions, molecular data, and research references on this website are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute advice or a recommendation for any use.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to promptly update it as needed. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used in connection with suspected non-research purchases.
You agree not to: (a) purchase products for human or animal use or for resale as consumables; (b) misrepresent your age, identity, or research affiliation; (c) use the website for any unlawful purpose; (d) attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website; or (e) scrape, copy, or republish website content without written permission. Violations may result in order cancellation, account termination, permanent bans, and cooperation with regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where unlawful use is identified.
All content on this website — including text, product descriptions, graphics, logos, and design elements — is the property of Veras or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Limited permission is granted to view and use the website for personal, non-commercial evaluation of our products. No other license is granted.
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN A COA FOR THE TESTED BATCH, ALL PRODUCTS AND WEBSITE CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. VERAS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PRODUCT IS SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR RESEARCH APPLICATION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERAS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR RESEARCH RESULTS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS, THE WEBSITE, OR ANY PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL VERAS'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. VERAS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY USE OF PRODUCTS CONTRARY TO THEIR RESEARCH-USE-ONLY CLASSIFICATION.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Veras and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use or misuse of any product, including any use inconsistent with its Research Use Only classification; (b) your breach of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or any purchase shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Phoenix, Arizona, administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. YOU AND VERAS EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. Judgment on an arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, RUO Disclaimer, and Legal Compliance Overview, constitute the entire agreement between you and Veras regarding the website and your purchases, and supersede all prior agreements on the subject.
