Account and order information: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number (if provided), order history, and the eligibility affirmations you make at checkout (age and research-organization affiliation). Payment identifiers: because payment is completed off-site through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle, we receive and retain only the information needed to match your payment to your order — such as the sender name, handle, or email associated with your payment. We never collect or store card numbers or bank credentials. Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected through server logs and cookies. We do not collect or retain health information, biometric data, or any other sensitive or protected-category personal information, and no product purchased through this website should be associated with any individual's health or medical status.
Payments are made asynchronously through third-party services: PayPal, Venmo (a PayPal service), and Zelle. When you pay through these services, your payment information is collected and processed by them under their own privacy policies, not by Veras. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of PayPal/Venmo and Zelle (and your bank, for Zelle transfers). We record only the confirmation details necessary to verify that your payment corresponds to your order.
We use the information we collect to: process, verify payment for, and fulfill orders; create and manage your account; communicate with you about orders, shipping, and support requests; verify purchaser eligibility (age 21+ and research affiliation) and screen for suspected non-research use; comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations; prevent fraud and abuse; and maintain and improve the website. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We use cookies that are necessary for the website to function — including session cookies for login, cart, and checkout provided by WordPress and WooCommerce. These cookies do not track you across other websites. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but the cart, checkout, and account features will not function without them. Do Not Track: because we do not track visitors across third-party websites and do not permit third parties to collect personal information about your activity on this website for their own purposes, our website does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals — there is no cross-site tracking to disable.
